What’s a memorable moment you’ve had working with a client or colleague?
"Early in my career as a business developer (2012), I was attending a Charter School Summit and as the event was about to end, I realized there was one last table which I still needed to visit. It turned out to be two of the board members of one of our charter school client's - Envision Science Academy. We have remained good friends and remain their campus architect to this very day.
What steps do you take to ensure great client experience from the business side?
"We remind our clients that our door is always open. I strive to make them feel at home, and I often give potential clients a tour of our facilities so they understand the makeup of our overall process.
What’s a professional value or principle you bring to your work every day?
"A strong work ethic with a get it done attitude, do it right the first time.
What’s the most rewarding part of your job?
"Making sure our clients' needs are met before, during and after their visit.
What kind of feedback do you hear most often from our clients?
"That our design team took the time to listen to the clients needs and wants and that we were good stewards of their dollars.
In your view, what makes our firm stand out to clients — whether it’s the way we communicate, the level of care we provide, or the overall experience we create?
"We have assembled an excellent group of individuals who are naturally gifted for their respective roles and are dedicated to bringing your vision to life.
What’s your favorite part of your role at the firm?
"It's hard to say as I wear a lot of different hats. In addition to business development, I feel like I run a 3,500 square foot household.
What makes us the kind of firm that clients not only hire again, but also recommend?
"Our design team is committed to listening and asking the right questions early in the project — ultimately driving our process through discovery and design, and yielding the vision you desire to transform your community. This approach also reflects the mutual respect built between our team, the client, and the overall design process.
