Design Development Architects partnered with Neuse Charter School to develop a comprehensive master plan for its 26-acre campus. The vision supports continued growth while strengthening the school’s connection to the community.
The first phase focused on a new 32,000-square-foot high school positioned at the front of the site. The three-story building includes 14 classrooms, four science labs, and collaborative student commons spaces organized around suspended Group Study Pods. The building’s orientation was carefully considered to maximize North-South daylight exposure, bringing abundant natural light into learning spaces and supporting a healthy educational environment.
As part of the continued phased development, Design Development Architects completed a kindergarten classroom addition and an auxiliary gymnasium with additional classroom space.
Currently under construction, the newest phase includes a 25,000-square-foot, two-story elementary school for grades 1–5. This project marks a significant milestone in the school’s ongoing expansion and reinforces its commitment to meeting future educational needs.
